There is a brief episode in Alvidia story linking Clint Eastwood to my search of “Yet Another Horizon”. I must say that it was not by accident for when I was kid, among several passions of mine including marbles and wooden spinning tops, I used to voraciously read Far West pocket books. At school during free times I even represented characters and told the stories to friends as if I was one of the cowboys crossing Arizona, involved in gun fights and train robbery...
So I was in Marin County, after have left the house I shared with Bhagavan Das and was working like an ordinary person to make money, to buy a return ticket to Brazil and, before set my foot in an airport, I managed to squeeze myself in one set of shooting of the movie Dead Pool, and saw Clint Eastwood playing the scene where he shoots someone in a restaurant in Sausalito, one of my stomping rounds at the time.
I was selfteaching motion picture and had in mind to work in the advertising field once I could land back in Rio de Janeiro. Under my arms I had a huge volume of a book about the most most controversial motion picture of all time, D.W. Griffith's the Birth of a Nation.
Eventually I was hired by the ranked fourth Brazilian Ad agency working in conjunction with Della Femina in Manhattan, NYC. But what about Clint Eastwood? – Well, you know, we all like movies, don´t we? Alvidia Yet Another Horizon was my own movie, I had to write a book first.
